Onshore Wind Farm Proposals

Description

On-shore wind farm proposals in the public domain. Sites may be at different stages of the application process from scoping to operational. Sites which have been refused or withdrawn are not included.  Sites at the pre-application stage are also not included.  The data only includes sites on which we have been consulted. It does not include most small scale applications and single turbines as we do not hold data on these.
These sites are linked to information held in the SNH Casework Recording System, therefore should be considered as non-definitive data, subject to change without notice. The data in Natural Spaces is refreshed ANNUALLY.
The Scottish Government and SNH are in discussion with the UK Government about securing more comprehensive data on wind turbines supporting better mapping of wind turbines across the country on which everybody can rely.
